Wisconsin Irregularities http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/voter_fraud_fallout
"A task force looking into potential voter fraud on Election Day said Tuesday that it found more than 200 felons voted illegally and more than 100 instances of people voting twice or using fake names and addresses.
"The investigators found hundreds of fraudulent votes in all and counted 4,600 more ballots than registered voters in Milwaukee — but did not uncover any proof of a plot to alter the outcome of the hotly contested presidential race in Wisconsin's largest city. They also found ballots cast using the names of dead people.
"Prosecutors have not filed criminal charges in the probe.
"'There is not the evidence of an overriding conspiracy in all of this,' U.S. Attorney Steven Biskupic said.
"The task force, however, did find evidence of sloppy record-keeping and poor training for poll workers, who were overwhelmed by thousands of absentee ballots. Biskupic said the faulty records will make it tough to prosecute many of the crimes."

About Nation-Building
Nation-Building was founded by Aziz Poonawalla in August 2002 under the name Dean Nation. Dean Nation was the very first weblog devoted to a presidential candidate, Howard Dean, and became the vanguard of the Dean netroot phenomenon, raising over $40,000 for the Dean campaign, pioneering the use of Meetup, and enjoying the attention of the campaign itself, with Joe Trippi a regular reader (and sometime commentor). Howard Dean himself even left a comment once. Dean Nation was a group weblog effort and counts among its alumni many of the progressive blogsphere's leading talent including Jerome Armstrong, Matthew Yglesias, and Ezra Klein. After the election in 2004, the blog refocused onto the theme of "purple politics", formally changing its name to Nation-Building in June 2006. The primary focus of the blog is on articulating purple-state policy at home and pragmatic liberal interventionism abroad.

Actually in this state the problems probably worked in favor of the Democrats.
Another fraud case. It's interesting that Republicans are worried about Democratic fraud (ballot stuffing, dead people voting, etc) while Democrats are worried about Republican fraud (Diebold conspiracies, etc) and that the frauds are so different. It leads to different solutions. The "Show an ID" movment that has swept GA, WI, and a few other states is a product of the Republican worries about mail-in ballots, repeat voting, bad voting rolls, etc. While the "paper trail" movement is in response to computer balloting. All are good ideas, so hopefully they can be combined in some way. And hopefully it can be reformed state-by-state so in case of a screw-up, it isn't nation-wide.
