update: Holy cow, preach on Brother Al! Gore's speech - which followed Dean - focused on debunking all the Dean memes. Gore covered everything from the "soft on defense" meme to the "wild eyed Birkenstock liberal" meme. He also stated that he came out at this point because he believes the Democrats ought to have an 11th commandment, and that we should all coalesce around the candidate who has the best chance of beating Bush. Gore said he hoped that his endorsement would help other Democrats to come off the fence and come into the Dean camp. Thank you, Mr President!
