GetActive Tool (courtesy GWB) http://www.georgewbush.com/GetActive/
This handy GetActive tool was brought to you by the campaign of George W. Bush. Clicking the submit button will take you to his website - scroll down the page to view the listings for your local media. Clicking on each media listing will give you phone and address contact information. It's quite an effective tool for the grassroots to make their voice heard.
Matt Singer and Ezra Klein have found the ideal use for this tool, so kindly provided to us by the Bush campaign. It is called Flood the Zone Fridays - each Friday, use this tool and send a letter to your local media detailing one aspect of the Bush Broken Record of false promises, policy failures, and endangerment of our national security. The Dean Defense Forces FAQ is a goldmine of information on this - this Friday, I suggest we focus on the Bush Fiscal Record.
UPDATE: attn webmasters and ASP programmers! I have extracted the form code above in a separate file, http://www.abde.net/actiontool.html. Feel free to play with it...

Obama 2008 - I want my country back
About Nation-Building
Nation-Building was founded by Aziz Poonawalla in August 2002 under the name Dean Nation. Dean Nation was the very first weblog devoted to a presidential candidate, Howard Dean, and became the vanguard of the Dean netroot phenomenon, raising over $40,000 for the Dean campaign, pioneering the use of Meetup, and enjoying the attention of the campaign itself, with Joe Trippi a regular reader (and sometime commentor). Howard Dean himself even left a comment once. Dean Nation was a group weblog effort and counts among its alumni many of the progressive blogsphere's leading talent including Jerome Armstrong, Matthew Yglesias, and Ezra Klein. After the election in 2004, the blog refocused onto the theme of "purple politics", formally changing its name to Nation-Building in June 2006. The primary focus of the blog is on articulating purple-state policy at home and pragmatic liberal interventionism abroad.
